Maneggi

Beautiful ribbon and pearl jewellery pieces by fellow Lancashire lass and BCTF Exhibitor Maneggi. I met Nikki, the founder of Maneggi when she was on the stand opposite me at the British Craft Trade Fair, where I spent the three days admiring her lovely stand and fashion accessories. They are all hand made using ribbons and an embroidery/folding technique, which are intertwined with various pearls. I think they are great statement pieces and love the elegance and sophistication of them. My personal favourite is the grey piece, (pictured centre) where I like the stunning, decorative shape, created by the intricate ribbon folds. To check out more Maneggi  pieces take a look here Online Etsy Shop

Clare Caulfield

I came across the work of Clare Caulfield through the Art Markets. I really like the intricate, lively drawings and the watercolour, inky style. Documented from Clare's travels through sketchbook drawings, the art works are of various cities and places around the world, icluding Venice, Paris and New York, as well as some from nearer places like Saltaire and the Leeds Victoria Quarter. With a love of architecture, Clare uses dip pen and ink to create the pieces as well as screen print to transfer original drawings on to paper and canvas which she then combines with hand painted acrylic.

British Craft Trade Fair

I had a brilliant few days, exhibiting as a Newcomer at the British Craft Trade Fair in Harrogate. It was such a great experience to be able to meet other talented artists and designers and see such a high standard of work. I met some lovely people on the stands near me, 'Maneggi, Anna Wright and Mcdonough and Davies' check them out. This was my first ever show and trade fair which went really well, was great meeting buyers. I learnt so much and I gained some potential stockists and contacts, as well as receiving some positive feedback, so all really exciting. More updates to follow.

Rosa Classica Collection

After working hard on putting the designs together and sewing the hems I have finally got round to taking some photographs of my new launch collection of scarves, 'Rosa Classica' intended to be feminine, romantic with hints of nostalgia, with hand painted floral, rose designs taken from my watercolour paintings and drawings. They have been digitally printed on to silks in the uk, which compliments the painted qualities beautifully and I am really pleased with them. I am going to be officially launching my design label and scarf collection at the British Craft Trade Fair in April in Harrogate and then they will be available to buy thereafter.
